Benchmark Design was set up in 1992 by Bas Groeneveld after 15 years working in industry around the world as an electronic and software design engineer.

Our focus is to provide a service developing effective software applications for businesses with a focus on usability using tools appropriate to the requirements.

We work closely with the end users at all stages (from specification through to deployment) to ensure that the final application meets the required functionality in a user friendly manner.

The principal developer of Benchmark Design is Bas Groeneveld. Graduated with honours as an Electronics Engineer from Melbourne University in 1978, Bas has worked as a hardware and software developer for a number of companies in Australia as well as overseas, being instrumental in the development of a number of cutting-edge systems (such as the Philips Vidiwall - the first commercially available videowall system - and the Oztrak systems - the first commercially available GPS vehicle tracking and telematics system).
